Gaëlle Rouard et Christophe Cardoen scandent de concert l’une des images argentiques, l’autre de la lumière, aux commandes d’une machine de sa fabrication qui hache le rayon mieux qu’un stroboscope. Et comme on parle de mettre en morceau : David Chiesa heurte et frictionne des cordes amplifiées… Une fiction qui tâte des origines et des chaos, les événements sonores assouvis de lumière pendant le lent travail de la transformation, des couleurs de lumières crues avalent l’image et quelques alpinistes. Le rythme s’accélère, les lumières et les sons s’épaississent, éblouissent, l’intrigue se fait insaisissable. Les personnages se débattent dans une matière plus dense, hypnotique… Et comme la scolopendre et le céphalopode (un représentant attardé des moeurs antiques) : ça se bouscule pour vivre et ça palpite d'exister. Sans kilowatts superflus, aux origines de l’art cinétique, avec du photon, de la chimie et du son …

During the performance, Gaelle Rouard and Christophe Cardoen give emphasis both to light and film, using their handmade machine to cut through the rays better than a stroboscope. While this is happening, David Chiesa strikes the amplified strings… A fiction / friction that goes back to the origins of time, an age where chaos feeds on sound and light. The lengthy process of transformation is beginning, hard, bright lights swallow the visions, and some mountain climbers…. The rhythm intensifies as the sound and the lights grow, blinding, the plot thickens in mystery. The characters struggle in a dense, hypnotic mass… And like the centipede and the cephalopod ( simple creatures from a bygone era ), they struggle for survival, and yearn for breath. Without overdoing it, at the origin of kinetic art, with photons, chemistry and sound…...
